Your child has been selected to attend North West Secondary Cross Country Trial at Coolah on Thursday 12th June 2025. The excursion will cost $0. Secondary students will be able to walk the course at 9:00am so will need to arrive prior to this with plenty of time. The event is scheduled to have concluded by approx. 3:30pm. Travel will be by own private transport. The students will be supervised by parents/carers and North West PSSA event staff. Students will need the following items on this excursion: Hat and sunscreen. Snacks, lunch and adequate water. A canteen will operate at the venue. Comfortable running attire School sports uniform Additional Information Please see attached Order of Events and course map. North West Cross Country souvenir apparel items will be for sale at the venue. Apparel items are limited in quantity and cannot be pre-ordered. A North West team will be selected from these trials to compete at the NSW All Schools Cross Country to be held at Sydney Equestrian Centre on Tuesday 22nd July 2025. Students selected in the North West Cross Country team will be expected to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements for the State Championships. The Regional team will consist of the first 6 place-getters in each age event. School teams of (maximum) 4 runners will be selected if two of their runners finish in the top 6 positions.

Primary Information: The K-12 Athletics Carnival will be held, weather permitting, at the Secondary site on Friday, 20th June, 2025. All track events will be held on the day. Field events will be held at school separately during sport time. 100m (age race), 800m and 200m races are open to all athletes (8-13 year) wishing to compete (nomination form attached). Please return nomination form by Tuesday, 17th June. Sub junior aged (5-7) students will compete in novelty events and their age race. Students are to arrive at the Primary site as normal before 9.10a.m., where rolls will be marked before walking to the Secondary. We will walk back to the Primary prior to the end of the school day where students will catch buses or walk home as usual. If parents wish to sign students out at the completion of events, please see your child’s class teacher. Students may wear their sports uniform or house colours which are: SIRIUS – Purple ZEMOS – Aqua ADARA- Orange Please ensure that they have a broad-brimmed hat and warm clothes as the weather in June is unpredictable. Students have the option of bringing their own food for the day or purchasing from the canteen at the Secondary. Lunch orders can be handed in at the Primary canteen before 9.10am; these will then be taken to the secondary canteen for collection. Tea and coffee will also be available. The canteen will remain open until 2.00p.m. Parents and relatives are welcome to attend and support. Secondary Information: The annual Manilla Central School Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 20th June 2025. The Athletics Carnival is a K-12 whole school event, and it is expected that all secondary students attend the day as this is part of the schools’ sport program and a normal school day. The Carnival will start at approx. 9:00am at the Secondary site. Students will be able to participate in all track and field events The students will be supervised by all classroom teachers and learning support staff. Students will need to bring the following items: Sunhat and sunscreen Adequate water Morning tea and lunch – the canteen will be operational all day until 2pm Students are asked to wear sport uniform or their house colours which are: ADARA – Orange SIRIUS – Purple ZEMOS – Aqua Additional Information Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be available from the canteen.
