This week the Year 12 Primary Industries class along with Mr Connors, Mr Faulks and Mrs Allen are working in the Inverell area with Blazeaid, repairing fire damaged farms and fencing. Reece, Billy, Ezra, Angus, Kate, Matthew, Nyomi and Dashe are all excited to work with the other Blazeaid volunteers.
The students left school on Friday afternoon, giving up their weekend time, and will return on Thursday night ready for school on Friday. This will cover their work placement requirements for the course while also achieving their fencing competencies for their Cert II in Agriculture. The best part of this opportunity is the kids volunteering their time and working with the local community helping those in need after the fires and the ongoing drought. Reece is excited to be entertaining us all with a few tunes of Johnny Cash tonight around the campfire.
