You are invited to attend a parent teacher night for Year 7-11 students to be held on Tuesday 30th July 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:30pm in the Secondary Library. A mid-term progress report has been uploaded to the parent portal and you will have the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress with their class teachers from each subject area. Please consider bringing your child with you to participate in the interviews. We look forward to working with you to promote a positive approach to your child’s learning. Light refreshments will be available.

Stage 2 Excursion – Dubbo

The 2022 Stage 2 excursion to Dubbo will take place in Term 3, Week 8 from Monday, 9th September to Tuesday, 10th September. This excursion will support and supplement their learning in History, Geography & Science. This will be a wonderful experience for your child and is always a fun filled and memorable excursion. WEDNESDAY · Travel · Dubbo Gaol · Royal Flying Doctor · Dubbo Parklands · Ten pin bowling THUESDAY · Western Plains Zoo morning walk with animals · Zoo exploration · Travel The cost per student will be $210.00. The actual cost is $285.00 per student with the school funding travel costs. This cost includes all entry fees, meals, accommodation and other incidental costs that may occur. The cost is dependent upon a minimum number of 30 students attending. Staff attending will be announced at a later date. A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 will be required to ensure your child will attend the excursion. Please sign the note attached and make the payment of $50.00 by Term 3, Week 2 Friday, 2nd August. After this date if your child is unable to attend your deposit will not be refunded as there will still be costs that will need to be covered. We also encourage small regular payments to make it easier to afford e.g. 6 x $15 or 3 x $30 instalments. The remainder of the cost per student will be due by Term 3, Week 7 Monday, 2nd September. Student behaviour is paramount on an excursion and your child is expected to continue to always adhere to our school behaviour policy leading up to the excursion at school. If they do not comply with this unfortunately, they will not be able to attend the excursion and your deposit will not be refunded. If you have any concerns, please contact me at school to discuss this further. A second note with all requirements will be finalised and given out to all students participating in Term 3. The 2024 Stage 3 excursion to Canberra will take place in Term 4, Week 2 from Monday, 21st October to Friday, 25th October. This excursion will support and supplement their learning in History, Geography & Science. This will be a wonderful experience for your child and is always a fun filled and memorable excursion. The actual cost is $880.00 per student but with fundraising, school funding supplementing the coach and travel costs and other support we are able to reduce it significantly for all students. This cost includes all entry fees, meals, accommodation, bus costs and other incidental costs that may occur. The cost is dependent upon a minimum number of 25 students attending. Staff attending will be announced at a later date. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 will be required to ensure your child will attend the excursion. Please sign the note attached and make the payment of $100.00 to the office by Term 3 Week 2, Friday 2nd August, 2024. After this date if your child is unable to attend your deposit will not be refunded as there will still be costs that will need to be covered. We also encourage small regular payments to make it easier to afford. The remainder of the cost per student will be due by Term 3, Week 10 Monday, 23rd September. Student behaviour is paramount on an excursion and your child is expected to continue to always adhere to our school behaviour policy leading up to the excursion at school.
