Your child has been selected to attend Chaffey Park, Manilla for participation in Project Group Community Initiative – Clean Up the Skate Park on Friday 8th December 2023. This excursion has been planned for Project curriculum learning area. The excursion will cost $0. The students will depart from Manilla Central School at 1:04pm. The students will return to Manilla Central School at 3:00pm. Travel will be by teacher car with Ms Nielsen. The students will be supervised by staff member Ms Nielsen. Students will need the following items on this excursion: Old clothing and enclosed shoes Sunhat and sunscreen Water bottle Additional Information Students were asked to propose a way they could “give back” to the Manilla community as part of their Project Group. They suggested a clean-up of the skate park at Chaffey Park. Tamworth Regional Council has agreed to this and say what a wonderful initiative this is. Students may bring mobile phones on the excursion and are required to comply with our Yondr Mobile Phone Policy. Manilla Central School takes no responsibility for any loss or damage.

Your child is participating in an excursion for Stage 6 End of Year Rewards at Tamworth Tenpins and More and Tamworth Escape Rooms on Tuesday 12th December 2023. This excursion has been planned for the Wellbeing curriculum learning area. The excursion will cost $35.50. The class will depart from Manilla Central School at 9:00am. The students will return to Manilla Central School at 3:00pm. Travel will be by Bus. The students will be supervised by staff member Mrs R Cowell. Students will need the following items on this excursion: Packed lunch or money to purchase lunch from the Food Court at Centrepoint School uniform Enclosed shoes & socks Additional Information Students may bring mobile phones on the excursion and are required to comply with our Yondr Mobile Phone Policy. Your child has been selected to attend an excursion to Year 7 Lake Keepit Peer Support Camp at Lake Keepit Sport & Recreation Centre on Thursday 8th of February 2024 to Friday 9th of February 2024. This excursion has been planned for Wellbeing. The excursion will cost $100.00 The class will depart from Manilla Central School Thursday 8th of February 2024 at 9am The students will return to Manilla Central School Friday 9th of February 2024 at 3pm Travel will be by Bus The students will be supervised by staff members Mr Justin Connors, Mr Tim Rowe & Miss Chloe Shultz Students will need the following items on this excursion: • Sleeping gear – Sheets, sleeping bag & pillow • Towel, hat, swimmers, drink bottle & old joggers (to be worn in mud) • Spare clothes & toiletries • *** Lollies & Soft drinks are not allowed on the excursion**** Overnight excursion advice Accommodation will be at Lake Keepit Sports & Recreation Centre Travel will be by Bus The group will be supervised by Mr Justin Connors, Mr Tim Rowe & Miss Chloe Shultz In the event of an emergency during school hours, please contact the school on 6785 1184.
