Young Driver Expo

Your child has expressed interest in attending an excursion to the Young Driver Expo at TRECC, Tamworth on Wednesday 28^th August 2024.

This excursion has been planned for PDHPE curriculum learning area.

The excursion will cost $0.

The students will depart from Manilla Central School at 8:30am. Please be at the school by 8:15am, ready for a prompt departure.

The students will return to Manilla Central School by 3:00pm.

Travel will be by bus.

The students will be supervised by Mrs Lynch.

 

Students will need the following items on this excursion:

• Water bottle. Snacks can be brought from home, but a basic lunch will be provided.
• Students are to wear full school uniform.

 

Additional Information

The Tamworth Young Drives Expo was an initiative between the NSW Police Service, NSW Ambulance Service, Department of Education and Training, Hunter new England Area Health, Roads and Traffic Authority and Tamworth Regional Council. Detailed discussions brought to light issues and areas where young people had insufficient opportunity to receive information which could assist them in making informed decisions about safe driving, drugs, alcohol and risk taking behaviours.
