Stage 5 Girls Antibullying Camp

Your child is encouraged to participate in the Antibullying Camp at property Oakhampton, Upper Manilla for Stage 5 Girls from Wednesday 18th September to Thursday 19th September 2024.

This excursion has been planned for Wellbeing curriculum learning area.

The excursion will cost $0.

Students will depart from Manilla Central School at 9:00am - Wednesday 18th September 2024.

Students will return to Manilla Central School by 3:20pm Thursday 19th September 2024.

Travel will be by bus.

Students will be supervised by staff members Mr Connors, Ms Nielsen and Miss Shultz.

Students will need the following items on this excursion:

  • Casual clothes, enclosed footwear and pyjamas. Please ensure warm and appropriate clothing is packed as majority of the time will be outdoors.
  • Toiletries, bath towel and thongs for shower.
  • Bedding – pillow, warm sleeping bag and blanket/s.
  • Water bottle.

Additional Information

Students will participate in group activities with mentors, teachers and facilitators from Headspace, learning about the types and signs of bullying and how to manage different aspects of bullying. Students will build their self-awareness and confidence to help prevent bullying. The feedback from the boys camp was extremely positive.

Students may bring mobile phones on the excursion and are required to comply with our Yondr Mobile Phone Policy. Manilla Central School takes no responsibility for any loss or damage.

Overnight excursion advice

Students will be sleeping in dorm style accommodation at private property Oakhampton, Upper Manilla.

The group will be supervised by Mr Connors, Ms Nielsen and Miss Shultz.
