NSW AECG SHOW Camp

Your child has been selected to attend the NSW AECG SHOW Camp at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre, Lake Burrendong on Tuesday 11th June 2024 to Thursday 13th June 2024.

This excursion has been planned for Wellbeing/PDHPE/cultural connection curriculum.

The excursion will cost $0.

The class will depart from Manilla Central School on Tuesday 11th June 2024 at 6:00am.

The students will return to Manilla Central School on Thursday 13th June 2024 at 4:30pm.

Travel will be by bus with Mr Van Doesburg.

The students will be supervised by staff member Mr Van Doesburg & event organisers.

Students will need the following items on this excursion:

Small amount of cash for extra meals whilst travelling

Overnight excursion advice

Accommodation will be in dormitory style lodges at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Centre, 205 Tara Road, Lake Burrendong, NSW.

Travel will be by bus with Mr Van Doesburg.

The group will be supervised by Mr Van Doesburg & event organisers.

Additional information

Students have been requested not to bring their mobile phone on the camp, however if they must bring it, our Yondr Mobile Phone Policy must be complied with. Manilla Central School takes no responsibility for any loss or damage.

This SHOW (Sport, Health, Opportunity and Wellbeing) Camp will contribute to informing, strengthening and connecting students to sport, health, opportunities and wellbeing through sharing of knowledge and resources.

The NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group (AECG) is committed and actively involved in supporting Aboriginal student identity, belonging and raising the academic achievement of Aboriginal students. They aim to empower students to be active learners in their education and training by providing opportunities to develop skills in leadership roles within their schools and communities. This camp will look at opportunities that can inspire and motivate students or who simply want to challenge themselves.
