This week, Year 12 Visual Arts students submitted their final Body of Work for HSC marking 2021.
A high standard of work was maintained and a big congratulations to Eliza, Meegan and Chelsea for their excellent efforts throughtout the year in spite of some challenging circumstances.
Eliza Jones' work, examined through 'stipple drawing techniques', a long standing tradition in classical portraiture of the relationship between 'Mother and Child'.
Meegan Taylor developed sophisticated photographic portrait techniques to express the relationship and beauty in animals. Titled: 'Pulchritudo in Animalibus'.
Chelsea Yates delved into intricate Photoshop and contemporary photographic methods to express the power of women and a celebration of womandhood. Title: 'Un pictura poesis'.
Well done to the students themselves and thankyou to the parents and carers, community, and staff and students of Manilla Central School for their support throught the year.
It is as a united community that we support our students to begin, to stive and to achieve.
Well done. :)
