Massive congratulations to the MCS under 16s and Opens netball teams for their fantastic efforts at the Central Schools Netball state finals.
The under 16s started strong on Thursday, playing some tough netball against well-drilled teams. Led by captain, Jessica Paull, the girls fought hard to earn 3rd place in the state. Well done girls.
A special mention goes to Shona Hughes and Samantha McCubbin for being nominated by the umpires for Most Valuable Player.
The Opens campaign commenced on Friday, beginning with two tough games straight up. One close loss and an intense and physical draw throughout the day led us to finish with the silver medal.
Isobel Kemp led with composure and maturity as captain. A special thank you to our year 12 girls Isobel, Maddison, Nyomi and Tara for all they have done for netball at our school.
Congratulations again to Sammi McCubbin for her multiple nominations for MVP, an amazing effort for an under 16 on the opens day.
Well done to all girls, and a massive thank you goes to our supporters and parents. This year we had an excellent turn out on the sidelines which helped us immensely. Another thank you to our P and C for their support of our trip.
