This term, S1H have been identifying the features of places and the activities that are performed in these places. S1H have investigated places such as Byron Bay, White Cliffs and Jindabyne. They have identified the differences in the landscape and how spaces within a space can be used for different purposes.
S1H have been predicting the weather over the last few weeks and discussing how the weather influences our daily life and behaviours. They have enjoyed reading the Jackie French collection of books about natural disasters such as drought and cyclones.
S1H have enjoyed ‘Math Investigations’ this term. Students are beginning to realise that successful mathematicians are able to verbalise their thinking and not just give an answer.
